Talk about a good day or what!
As you can sense, the football was a big hit today and some of my value betting really paid off.
I mentioned my match which I thought was a good bet for a higher scoring game with Bournmouth at home to Stoke. I recalled last year when Bournmouth played in the Championship and scored goal after goal after goal and although now in the prem they still tend to score a few, but often they let a few in as well. So I felt it was worth the risk.
It was a cracking start with Stoke scoring in the first 10 minutes, but that was indeed that so my HT bets were down. But I had also punted on 3-2 3-3 2-3 all for £2 each. Stoke scored two pretty quick goals after the break to go 3-0 up and I thought well that was shit. Bournmouth went on and scored now and didn't think much of it straight away. So much so I was bathing now. It was a good job I had my wits about me and took my iPad with me to the bathroom. Because I then saw a cash out of over £50 for my correct score. Now I have said previously, it can be good and bad if myou use the cash out feature. Bad because you take the offer only to see the final score is the one you backed and you lost about 50% by cashing out early. But good, for taking a decent cash out amount only to see that's the final score and you would of ended with nothing.... That's the good!
So you can imagine what I did. I'd rather take a good profit in the early stages of this challenge anytime over the amount ' I might win ' if the right team scored and no more goals were scored after as well. So I hit cash out and settled for an equal profit of about £53. Now that is a massive profit from my £2 and sits me pretty with my bankroll. The best thing about it all was, no more goals were scored and it ended 1-3, so I would of had nothing back if I left it running. So a good double bonus.
But it got better, I laid Norwich when they were winning 2-0 with 15 minutes to go at a price of 1.06. (That's £100 bet to win £6) and I laid it for my max which was £2 of course, but had the potential to win £33.33 for my £2.
So when Norwich let in 2 goals in 3 minutes you can imagine how I felt!! Again I laid off for equal profit and made about £30 on that £2.
There were some small wins as well, but I wasn't finished just yet. Unfortunatly I missed the start of Chelsea at home v Newcastle and I know this had potential for Chelsea to score goals against a poor poor Newcastle team. But because I missed the start, my inplay bets were not as much as they would of been. I managed to get £2 on at 4-0 right before Chelsea scored, but I couldn't place my other two correct score bets. So when the market reopened, I backed 4-1 and 5-1 at reduced odds but I figured even with the poor odds I still stood to make a good return on my £2.
Before anyone had a chance to breath, it was 3-0 after 16 minutes and game over really. Amazingly it stayed that score until HT. I knew they would take the foot off the gas and I was worried that they were just playing to see out the game.
I had to wait just another 15 minutes after the break for it go 4-0, but now I was worried because I didn't have 5-0 because I had already 3 bets in one market. So I quickly settled up my liability on that market, which then left it clear for me to back 5-0, but again my max stake can only be £2.
86th minute Chelsea make it 5-0 and I thought great. Yes I win, but nothing like the amount I would of won for 4-0, but still £6 was not bad after all the cash I'd won already. Then the market goes suspended, I'm thinking 93rd minute it's got to be the final whistle. Ohhhhhh no. Newcastle score in the last minutes to make it 5-1 and ker-Ching. I quickly green up which I always do and for the sake of a few pence it stops anymore goals spoiling my results. It's happened before and it hurts like hell...
So that's another £40 into the kitty.
I will put up the screenshots tomorrow.... Because it's late now.
Thanks for reading.
